Credit Analyst II | First Horizon Bank
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at First Horizon Bank, located on site at the location listed in the job posting. This Credit Analyst II position provides essential analytical support for underwriting and analyzing commercial credit facilities, directly contributing to the effective management of customer relationships and ensuring the overall credit quality of the bank’s portfolio.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Interpret: Interpret financial statements and provide financial analysis support utilized in underwriting complex C&I and commercial real estate loans.
• Manage: Proactively prioritize and complete production tasks including financial statement spreading, creating new loan requests, and performing covenant monitoring.
• Prepare: Analyze and prepare credit approval documentation in the commercial loan system, accurately reflecting all loan terms, collateral, and calculating credit exposure.
• Monitor: Partner with Portfolio Managers to monitor and manage assigned commercial loan portfolios, tracking covenants and company performance against expectations.
• Report: Identify and report material changes or trends in the financial statements of borrowers or guarantors observed during credit approval preparation.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance or Business, or equivalent in specific work experience, coupled with a fundamental understanding of general bank operations and the commercial lending process.
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience related to Financial Services, Banking, Credit Analysis, or Loan Review is preferred.
• Skills: Highly proficient skills with Excel; strong computer skills with Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to deadlines while delivering high-quality work.
• Bonus: Experience with nCino applications is a plus.
