Finance Manager, AWS Sales and Marketing | Amazon Web Services (AWS)
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Amazon Web Services (AWS), with potential locations in New York, NY; Arlington, VA; and Seattle, WA. AWS is a leading cloud computing organization that delivers a broad set of global cloud-based products. This role is a vital part of the AWS Specialist and Partner (ASP) Organization, where the successful candidate will work closely with business and finance stakeholders. The position is essential for enhancing financial strategies, driving automation, and providing data-driven insights to influence business decisions, specifically supporting Solution Architecture leadership and key strategic projects involving ASP revenue and P&Ls.

• Mission: Review and enhance financial models, tools, and mechanisms to address business opportunities, drive automation, improve internal controls, and earn trust across the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Revenue Support: Support planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis for AWS Partner revenue streams.
• Profitability Insights: Develop and maintain comprehensive Partner P&L frameworks, including fully burdened cost allocations across various partner types, geographies, COEs, and programs.
• Strategic Partnership: Serve as a trusted finance partner to Solution Architecture leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, translating business strategies into financial plans and providing data-driven recommendations.
• Process Enhancement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and implement automation solutions to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Model Development: Build, maintain, and continuously improve complex financial models to support strategic decision-making, scenario planning, and business case development.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, with a focus on finance management within a sales and marketing context.
• Experience: 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience, including dissecting financial data, leading cross-functional initiatives, applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses, and building financial and operational reports/data sets.
• Skills: Demonstrated attention to detail, proficiency in building and improving complex financial models, effective written and verbal communication, and a data-driven approach to influence business decisions.
• Bonus: MBA or CPA; 6+ years of experience identifying and resolving incomplete or inaccurate data; 6+ years of experience solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations; experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.
