Principal Financial Analyst | Intuit
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Intuit, located in Bay Area California. Intuit is a large organization with $8B+ in revenue, serving 8M+ customers with financial management products including QuickBooks, covering accounting, payments, payroll, capital lending, and banking. This Principal Financial Analyst role is critical within the US Global Business Solutions Group Finance team, driving business growth and profitability through strategic, financial, and operational leadership for the Mid-Market segment.

• Mission: This person drives optimal investment decisions, business growth, and operational excellence for Intuit’s Mid-Market segment within the Global Business Solutions Group.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategic Planning: Advise leadership to develop and refine 1- and 3-year strategic plans, proactively highlighting risks and opportunities to drive optimal investment decisions through data-driven insights.
• Operational Excellence: Partner with Marketing and Analytics teams to develop and monitor key performance indicators, driving insights and decision-making to achieve strategic and financial plans.
• Modeling & Analysis: Create financial models to analyze complex business scenarios, informing go-to-market strategies, including promotion, pricing, new sales channels, and product portfolio opportunities.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reporting deliverables, such as month-end close packages and variance explanations, to ensure transparency into business performance and drivers, and liaise with Accounting for correct transactional treatment.
• Process Improvement & Coaching: Drive efficiencies and continuous improvement by streamlining, standardizing, and automating processes and reporting, while operating as a leader to influence, lead, and coach within Finance and cross-functional teams.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, with 10+ years in FP&A roles. Must be a qualified financial analyst with strong analytical and modeling skills and a deep understanding of SaaS business models.
• Experience: Demonstrable experience acting as a business partner, supporting and challenging non-finance stakeholders, and presenting to business partners with confidence and credibility.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ability to influence all levels of leadership to drive actions and outcomes, strong written and oral communication, and attention to detail with the ability to synthesize large data volumes into insightful recommendations.
• Bonus: MBA. Experience with Hyperion EssBase. Experience in the high-tech industry and enjoyment of operating in a rapidly evolving business environment.
