Investment Banking Consumer – Senior Associate / Vice President | Nomura

As a Senior Associate / Vice President in the Investment Banking Division’s Consumer & Retail group, you will be instrumental in servicing clients and executing critical transactions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead Coverage Effort: Develop and lead a coverage effort across selected Specialty Finance sub-sectors.
• Execute M&A Transactions: Oversee business and valuation analysis, financial modeling, investor outreach, and negotiation coordination between parties for M&A deals.
• Prepare Client Presentations: Create new business presentations and information memorandums for clients.
• Mentor Junior Team Members: Contribute to the development, training, and mentoring of new associates and analysts.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Career level: Senior Associate/Vice President. Requires outstanding academic qualifications. While not strictly required, an MBA or other relevant graduate degree is desirable. This role focuses on Investment Banking M&A within the Consumer & Retail sector.
• Experience: A minimum of 3-4 years of hands-on investment banking M&A experience is required.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication abilities. Strong proficiency across Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word for analysis and presentation creation. Possession of SIE, Series 63, and 79 licenses is necessary, or a clear willingness to sit for these exams.
• Bonus: Candidates with experience from a bulge bracket training program or a Big 4 firm are strongly preferred.
