Junior Cash Analyst | SunEnergy1
The Tone:
This is an early career role at SunEnergy1, designed for individuals looking to start a career in corporate treasury, accounting, or financial analysis. SunEnergy1 focuses on developing utility-scale solar and energy infrastructure projects within the renewable energy industry. This position is vital for supporting the company’s daily treasury operations, cash management, and the crucial funding activities required for these large-scale energy projects.

• Mission: Support daily treasury operations, cash management, and project funding activities for utility-scale solar and energy infrastructure projects.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel; exposure to ERP systems like NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Sage, or Microsoft Dynamics.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Cash Management: Oversee daily cash activities, including monitoring balances across multiple bank accounts, tracking receipts and transactions, and coordinating bank transfers under supervision.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate daily, weekly, and monthly cash position reports, perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations, and contribute to month-end close activities related to cash accounts.
• Cash Forecasting: Contribute to short-term cash flow forecasts and project cash forecasts, including gathering information from project teams and identifying variances between forecasted and actual cash activity.
• Project Funding: Facilitate funding for solar and energy infrastructure projects by working with Accounts Payable, Project Managers, and Procurement to track construction payments and capital expenditures, and support lender draw requests.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate banking records, treasury documentation, and financial records, assisting with internal and external audit requests and ensuring adherence to company policies and internal controls.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, or expected graduation within six months.
• Experience: 0–2 years of experience in accounting, finance, treasury, banking, or financial analysis.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting, filtering, and basic PivotTables; strong analytical and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail; ability to prioritize multiple tasks; and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: Internship or professional experience in accounting, finance, banking, or treasury; experience in construction, engineering, renewable energy, or project-based businesses; or an understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
