Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency

The Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency (MDHA) creates affordable housing opportunities for over 13,000 families through public housing and Section 8 programs, strengthening communities and building a greater Nashville. It also manages federally-funded community development and homeless assistance programs on behalf of the Metropolitan Government, and oversees 12 redevelopment districts that foster urban growth by guiding design and land-use zoning controls.
