Operations Internship: Summer 2027 | Susquehanna International Group

The Tone:
This is a seasonal internship at Susquehanna International Group, located in Bala-Cynwyd, PA. Susquehanna is a global quantitative trading firm that applies scientific rigor, curiosity, and innovation to design and deploy impactful trading strategies. This role is essential for managing the infrastructure that enables millions of trades to proceed with speed and accuracy, helping the firm make informed decisions and prevent financial risks. The Operations team is central to continuously improving the efficiency of the entire trade lifecycle.

• Mission: Manage trading infrastructure, analyze data for decision-making, and ensure the efficient and accurate completion of the trade lifecycle.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Collaborate directly with trading desks and other support teams to advance the firm’s trading businesses.
• Execute a variety of analytical projects that introduce you to current industry challenges and impact multiple areas of the business.
• Aggregate and analyze trading data to generate insights that inform better future decisions for the firm.
• Identify and resolve any trade breaks to protect the firm from potential financial risk.
• Research and implement improvements to constantly enhance the efficiency of operational processes within the trade lifecycle.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Math, Computer Science, or a related major, with the intention to graduate within one year of the internship program.
• Experience: No specific years required; experience with Python, HTML, VBA, or SQL is preferred.
• Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent verbal and written communication skills, capability to collaborate effectively with a team, and the confidence to work independently.
• Bonus: Advanced knowledge of Excel, a passion for the financial markets or programming knowledge, curiosity, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a commitment to innovation.
