UNPAID STUDENT INTERNSHIP | County of Riverside

What You’ll Actually Do
• Assist: Support professional staff with day-to-day assigned work within various departments.
• Conduct: Participate in special research, studies, surveys, and investigations, including compiling, tabulating, and analyzing information and data.
• Prepare: Help in the preparation of briefs, reports, evaluations, specifications, and plans.
• Attend: Participate in divisional and departmental staff meetings, preparing reports of observations, suggestions, and comments regarding department programs.
• Execute: Perform sub-professional assignments as needed to support professional team members.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Current enrollment in, or recent graduation (within one year) from, an accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s program relevant to a specific internship field. Some roles may require current enrollment in an accredited graduate program. Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 is required.
• Experience: Willingness and ability to take direction, benefit, and learn rapidly from on-the-job training within a professional vocation. Knowledge of the goals and functions of the specific profession to which assigned.
• Skills: Ability to think logically and write clearly and concisely; compile data, perform arithmetical computations, analyze statistical data, and prepare reports; learn to operate and use specialized equipment; maintain cooperative relations with co-workers and the public.
