The Tone:
This is an internship at DaVita Kidney Care, located in Federal Way, WA. DaVita is dedicated to building the greatest healthcare community, caring for patients suffering from chronic kidney failure across the nation. This role is crucial for ensuring the company’s compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and internal policies by performing detailed transaction analysis and internal control tests.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Location: In-person, Federal Way, WA
• Pay: $23–$45 hourly
• Team: Part of the JV team; reports to management
• Mission: Perform detailed transaction analysis and internal control tests to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and DaVita policies.
• Tech Stack: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Support: Support JV documentation projects, including ad hoc testing, process narrative updates, and special assignments.
• Transaction Audits: Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly audits of transactions following department policies and procedures.
• Reporting Coordination: Coordinate with JV teammates to ensure the standardization of reporting.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve JV review methodologies and processes.
• Customer Interaction: Respond promptly to customer requests and attend customer meetings.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student or recent graduate pursuing or holding a Bachelor’s degree in Business (Accounting).
• Experience: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Prior experience writing reports and correspondence is preferred.
• Skills: Highly organized with strong attention to detail and deadline orientation; excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; strong time management, initiative, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision; demonstrated commitment to customer service; commitment to DaVita’s core values of Service Excellence, Integrity, Team, Continuous Improvement, Accountability, Fulfillment and Fun.
• Bonus: Interest in pursuing a professional certification such as CPA, CIA, or CFE.
