What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Communications: Review incoming emails and requests, drafting appropriate responses for attorneys and firm administration.
• Maintain Docket Records: Perform entry-level docketing and update calendars within the firm’s specialized docketing software.
• Support Electronic Filings: Assist with and receive training on basic electronic filing procedures in federal and state jurisdictions.
• Conduct Research and Due Diligence: Perform litigation docket searches and communicate with court personnel as necessary.
• Ensure Data Quality: Conduct quality checks on all docket entries and escalate complex questions or issues to a Senior Docketing Specialist.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree, with a basic understanding of litigation practices and entry-level litigation-related services.
• Experience: 0 to 2 years of relevant experience, including knowledge of the entry-level litigation docketing and calendaring process.
• Skills: Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize tasks, strong attention to detail to produce accurate work, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong research and analytical capabilities.
• Bonus: Knowledge of various court websites and document retrieval databases such as PACER, Milana, CasePortal, Bloomberg, and Lexis/Nexis, alongside an understanding of basic filing procedures in federal and state courts.
