Junior Credit Analyst | Interamerican Bank

The Tone:
This is a full-time, on-site role at Interamerican Bank, located at its Main Branch on Coral Way. Interamerican Bank seeks to provide banking services, and this role is intended to support commercial loan analysis, ensuring timely and accurate credit review. The analyst will play a key part in maintaining accuracy and integrity within the bank’s credit risk reporting.

• Mission: Ensures timely and accurate commercial loan analysis and the integrity of the bank’s credit risk reporting.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), financial data spreading systems, internal credit rating systems

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Assist lenders with financial and credit analysis, including collateral analysis and underwriting support for commercial loan requests.
• Analyze: Evaluate borrower financial information such as balance sheets, income statements, and tax returns to assess creditworthiness and repayment capacity.
• Research: Conduct industry and market research to assess trends that may impact prospective or existing clients’ businesses.
• Prepare: Create detailed written credit memoranda for loan approvals, ensuring adherence to credit policy and documenting exceptions.
• Monitor: Support loan monitoring and annual review processes by tracking updated borrower financial information and coordinating required documentation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field, with core domain knowledge in commercial banking, credit analysis, and/or loan review.
• Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of commercial banking experience, including credit analysis and/or loan review. Experience with financial data spreading and internal credit rating systems.
• Skills: Strong analytical skills, effective communication skills, robust time management skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), and strong knowledge of commercial, construction, real estate, and consumer loan analysis.
• Bonus: Bilingual (English and Spanish)
