About Company

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is North America’s largest transportation network, providing critical services across a 5,000-square-mile region for 15.3 million people in New York City, Long Island, southeastern New York, and Connecticut. Comprising six agencies, the MTA operates the nation’s largest bus fleet and more subway and commuter rail cars than all other U.S. transit systems combined. Annually facilitating approximately 2.6 billion trips, its extensive network also includes the nation’s busiest bridge and tunnel authority, collectively accounting for about one-third of the country’s mass transit users and two-thirds of its commuter rail passengers.
