What You’ll Actually Do
• Algorithm Design: Design and implement algorithms to detect and control risks and frauds across contents, products, sellers, and creators.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with strategy, product, policy, and operations teams to help define products and drive initiatives from an engineering perspective.
• Risk Detection Systems: Build systems to detect various risks that could sabotage platform trust and integrity.
• Quality Assurance: Contribute to working on policies, rules, and systems to ensure the overall quality and trustworthiness of the e-commerce marketplace.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, with an understanding or keen interest in machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), or computer vision.
• Experience: Must be able to commit to a 12-week full-time work period during Summer 2026.
• Skills: Familiarity with programming languages such as C++, Python, Go, or Java; knowledge of machine learning, NLP, or computer vision concepts.
• Bonus: Interest or experience in anti-fraud, anti-spam, platform-integrity, or similar fields; a profound sense of responsibility, coupled with exceptional communication and teamwork skills.
