Land Development Assistant | D.R. Horton
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at D.R. Horton, an in-person position within their Operations Department. D.R. Horton, Inc., established in 1978, is recognized as the largest homebuilder in the U.S., constructing and selling high-quality homes primarily for entry-level and first-time move-up markets, while also providing mortgage financing and title services through its subsidiaries. This position is vital to supporting the Land Development Manager in the crucial process of transforming raw land into communities by installing necessary infrastructure, enabling the construction of new homes.

• Mission: Assist the Land Development Manager in developing raw land and installing infrastructure to enable the construction of homes.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Support: Execute tasks and initiatives as delegated by the Land Manager to advance land development projects.
• Schedule Management: Create, oversee, and update construction schedules to ensure timely project progression.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with contractors and inspectors to coordinate activities and ensure successful project completion.
• Documentation & Contracts: Prepare and meticulously review various documents, plats, and contracts pertinent to land development.
• Financial Administration: Manage accounts payable for land development items and contribute to budget tracking and reporting.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience: Six months to one year of related experience and/or training in a land development or construction environment.
