Global Supply Chain Management Intern (Fall 2026) | Peak Energy
The Tone:
This is an internship at Peak Energy, located in Burlingame, CA. Peak Energy is the first American venture to advance globally proven Sodium-Ion battery systems as the storage standard for the new era of renewable energy on a resilient grid. Sodium-Ion is cheap, readily available and safe, making it the leading contender in a rapidly evolving market. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the strategy and operations behind launching and scaling a cutting-edge battery product, making a meaningful impact on domestic clean tech manufacturing.

• Team: Energy Storage System Supply Chain Team reports to Senior Manager, ESS Industrialization & Global Supply
• Mission: This person supports the sourcing and management of ESS direct materials to launch and scale cutting-edge battery products.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategy Assistance: Assist in developing and executing supply chain strategies for Energy Storage System (ESS) components.
• Supplier Research: Conduct research on potential suppliers and help draft requests for information and quotes for critical components.
• NPI Support: Support New Product Introduction (NPI) builds by tracking material readiness, managing build plans, and ensuring on-time Clear to Build (CTB) status.
• Logistics Planning: Assist with logistics planning and cost optimization for international and domestic shipments.
• Reporting & Presentations: Prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Experience: No specific prior work experience is required.
• Skills: Strong analytical and organizational skills; proficiency in Excel or data analysis tools; excellent communication and collaboration abilities; self-starter problem-solving mindset.
• Bonus: Interest in clean tech, energy storage, or domestic manufacturing policy; prior internship or project experience in supply chain, operations, or procurement.
