Noise Analyst | ATCS
The Tone:
This is a hybrid GIS Specialist/Air & Noise Analyst role at ATCS, located in Camp Hill, PA, requiring a minimum of three days per week onsite. ATCS is a growing company dedicated to providing consulting services for transportation improvement projects. This position is vital for an early career professional to contribute to critical environmental assessments, specifically in noise and air impact analysis and mitigation, working as part of a talented team. This individual will help ATCS deliver essential environmental documentation and GIS support for various projects.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Analysis: Perform data collection, noise monitoring, modeling, and analysis for various transportation improvement projects.
• Reporting: Write articulate, thorough reports that assess and document noise impacts and potential noise mitigation measures for projects.
• Fieldwork: Conduct field work as needed to support data collection and analysis requirements.
• GIS Deliverables: Produce high-quality GIS deliverables that accompany submitted noise analysis reports.
• GIS Support: Assist with other company-wide GIS initiatives as required to support various projects and teams.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Geographic Information Systems, or a closely related field, suitable for an early career professional.
• Experience: 0-3 years of professional experience desired, demonstrating required proficiency in ArcGIS (ArcPro, AGOL web applications, Essential/Field Apps).
• Skills: Possess excellent technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Bonus: Preferred knowledge of FHWA’s Traffic Noise Model (TNM), Microstation, and/or AutoCAD, along with an understanding of state and federal (FHWA) noise policies and procedures.
