What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Inquiries: Answer incoming calls from families and community partners.
• Educate on Services: Provide clear, helpful information about programs.
• Facilitate Connections: Connect callers to the appropriate department or service.
• Resource Referrals: Help families find outside resources when needed.
• Maintain Records & Internal Flow: Document calls and follow-ups accurately and support communication across teams.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early career professional seeking to start or grow a career in social services, healthcare, or community-based work, including recent graduates. No prior social services experience is required.
• Experience: 1 year of preferred experience in customer service, call centers, medical or school front desks, or childcare.
• Skills: Spanish (Required), strong communication and customer service skills, comfortable handling multiple calls and sensitive situations, organized and detail-oriented, basic computer skills.
• Bonus: Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, and familiarity with the Metro Children’s Services website and services.
