The Tone:
This is a full-time role at L. & J.G. Stickley, located in Manlius, NY. L. & J.G. Stickley manufactures high-end, collector-quality, American-made furniture. • Team: Works within an experienced and supportive HR team, collaborating cross-functionally.
• Mission: Support a diverse workforce and HR operations through high-volume tasks, compliance documentation, system utilization, recruiting, onboarding, and daily employee assistance.
• Tech Stack: iSolved, UKG, SharePoint, Canva

What You’ll Actually Do
• Recruitment Coordination: Manage the candidate journey, ensuring timely progression through recruitment stages, coordinating activities like job postings, candidate outreach, interview scheduling, and reference checks in iSolved.
• Onboarding Support: Assist with new hire orientation, prepare onboarding plans with managers, and complete necessary actions within UKG.
• HR Communications: Create and manage communication and digital content across various platforms and activities, maintaining HR SharePoint content and managing text alert notifications using tools like Canva.
• Benefits Administration: Communicate and administer key elements of the benefit program, including new hire presentations, tracking changes in employee status, addressing initial employee questions, and managing ongoing communications.
• Event Planning: Plan and execute company events, employee meetings, recognition activities, and wellness initiatives across the organization.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Industrial Relations, or a related field, OR a Master’s degree in a related discipline. This role is designed for an entry-level candidate.
• Experience: No prior HR experience is required; comprehensive training is provided to build confidence and capability.
• Skills: Demonstrated organizational, verbal, and written communication skills; learning agility, attention to detail, creativity, reliability, and a digital-first approach to improving operations.
