Internship, HR & People Teams (Fall 2026) | Tesla

The Tone:
This is an internship at Tesla, located in Brookshire, TX. Tesla is a company that designs, manufactures, and sells electric vehicles, battery energy storage from home to grid-scale, solar panels, and related products and services. This role is crucial for recognizing and developing emerging talent, offering students a chance to grow technically, professionally, and personally. Interns will work closely with managers, mentors, and teams on projects that are critical to the company’s success, providing a real-world experience of life at Tesla.

• Team: HR & People Teams, working with a Manager, Mentor and team.
• Mission: Support various HR initiatives to drive employee engagement, optimize HR processes, and deliver best-in-class solutions for benefits and employee experience.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office tools/programs (Excel, Word, etc.)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Coordinate Onboarding: Coordinate new hire orientation and training efforts, playing a key role in the overall onboarding experience for new employees.
• Administer Programs: Administer the logistical requirements for orientation and onboarding programs, including managing enrollment, tracking attendance, arranging travel, and ensuring availability of necessary supplies and materials.
• Develop Communications: Create clear and effective communications for various Learning and Development platforms to support employee growth and engagement.
• Analyze Engagement: Develop comprehensive analytics and reporting to identify trends and help drive initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement.
• Optimize HR Processes: Contribute to the optimization and standardization of HR processes and programs, including administering best-in-class solutions for benefits delivery.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student, currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Industrial Organizational Psychology, Communications, or Business, or a related field.
• Experience: Available for a minimum of 12+ weeks for the internship, able to work 40+ hours per week on-site in Brookshire, TX. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools/programs including Excel and Word.
• Skills: Demonstrates strong analytical ability, results orientation, resourcefulness, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive approach to initiative-taking. Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong capacity to embrace and adapt to change, learn quickly in a professional setting that demands adaptability, and showcase curiosity in a professional context.
• Bonus: Previous work experience or internships in a related field. Experience in project management.
