TTG Business Data Analyst Intern | TransTech Group
The Tone:
This is an internship at TransTech Group, located in Cleveland, OH, with hybrid options. TransTech Group provides custom-engineered and fabricated solutions for liquids and gas processing, storage, and specialized infrastructure for diverse industries. The company builds complex, high-quality equipment while meeting rigorous quality and safety standards for national and international projects. This role is crucial for transforming centralized core business data within the Microsoft Fabric environment into useful reporting, actionable insights, and scalable business solutions to support decision-making across the organization.

• Team: Reports to Manager of Business Analysis and Process, collaborates with the Business Data Analyst.
• Mission: Turn core business data now centralized in Microsoft Fabric into useful reporting, insights, and scalable business solutions.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Excel, SQL, Python, Power Automate, AI, Power Platform, SharePoint.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Reporting Development: Assist in developing, updating, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports for various business functions and users.
• Fabric Data Management: Work with curated data in Microsoft Fabric to support reporting and analysis needs, including organizing and maintaining assets.
• Data Quality Improvement: Help identify data issues, missing values, and inconsistencies, and assist in reconciling data across business processes and reports.
• Automation & AI Support: Assist with business process improvement opportunities utilizing Power Automate, reporting workflows, or AI-enabled solutions and pilot efforts.
• Ad Hoc Analysis: Answer business questions using Excel, SQL, Power BI, or Fabric-based datasets to support special projects and daily reporting needs.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Interest in gaining hands-on experience with modern enterprise analytics tools in a manufacturing and engineering environment.
• Skills: Familiarity with Excel, Power BI, SQL, Python, or data analysis tools; strong attention to detail.
• Bonus: Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, SharePoint, or related Microsoft technologies; curious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
