Marketing and Events Coordinator | Alliance Highway Safety

The Tone:

This role is crucial for coordinating sponsorship events and campaigns that deliver vital messages about safe driving practices, directly contributing to saving lives and improving communities.

What You’ll Actually Do
Event Operations: Staff events and fulfill specific metrics as scheduled, which includes availability on weekdays, weekends, and some holidays for engaging attendees and fans.
Logistics & Planning: Plan, book, and coordinate comprehensive travel arrangements for events across the country, alongside managing office and off-site storage inventory.
Partnership Management: Serve as a key liaison, contacting and collaborating with venue coordinators, school leadership, college career centers, and sponsorship partners.
Campaign & Data Management: Travel extensively to effectively market highway safety campaigns, research marketing tools, collect program data, and capture photographs of activations.
Sponsorship Compliance & Reporting: Ensure venues meet all sponsorship requirements, such as signage and announcements, and prepare professional recaps for clients.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A current junior or senior student seeking a semester-long internship from August 2026 to December 2026 to fulfill graduation requirements.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to assist with the management of sponsorship campaigns and an eagerness to learn from experienced staff.
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, complemented by strong interpersonal abilities for engaging with diverse audiences; highly organized, flexible, and adaptable, with a proven ability to multitask effectively and manage time efficiently; proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; capable of extensive travel (75% of the time) and able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs as needed; a proactive self-starter with a positive attitude, comfortable working untraditional hours including weekends, evenings, and some holidays.
• Bonus: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred; familiarity with the Microsoft Teams Application; creative skills in developing projects using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or Canva.
