About Company
Charleston Battery is a prominent American professional soccer club based in Charleston, South Carolina, founded in 1993. Competing in the United Soccer League, it shares the distinction of being one of the oldest continuously operating professional soccer clubs in the United States. The Battery made history in 1999 by becoming the first non-Major League Soccer professional club in the U.S. to build its own stadium, now MUSC Health Stadium, and has established itself as one of the nation’s most successful lower-division teams with championship victories in 1996, 2003, 2010, and 2012.
