Business Development Intern | Global Business Development Association (GBDA)
The Tone:
This is an unpaid, remote internship at Global Business Development Association (GBDA). GBDA is a nonprofit trade association dedicated to advancing the art, science, and ethics of the business development profession. This role offers busy university students a unique opportunity to gain valuable professional credentials, practical experience, and a foundational network to launch a career in business development, all while contributing to the association’s mission.

• Mission: Provide college students with a no-cost pathway to professional certification, practical experience, and networking in business development.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Earn Professional Certification: Obtain your Business Development Professional (BDP) Certification online at no cost, including access to the digital “Business Development Body of Knowledge” (BD-BOK) textbook and the open-book exam, aiming for completion within 90 days to potentially qualify for compensation.
• Collaborate on Social Media: Engage daily (Monday-Friday) for approximately 30 minutes with GBDA social media content on platforms like LinkedIn, by liking, commenting, or reposting, to learn about the profession and build your professional network.
• Build Professional Network: Establish and grow your network of local business leaders, leveraging the internship experience to lay the groundwork for your career in business development.
• Manage Internship Progress: Complete the BDP certification within the initial 90-day internship period, with flexibility for accommodations if progress is evident, and continue the remote internship until graduation if desired, receiving an acceptance letter for your college if required.
• Promote Program Engagement: Invite and onboard other students from any accredited university or community college to participate in the GBDA Business Development Intern program.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Current College Student enrolled in an accredited university or community college (undergraduate students are preferred, but graduate students are also welcome).
• Experience: U.S. Citizenship, required for regulatory reasons.
• Skills: Intermediate proficiency in reading and writing one or more foreign languages from the following list: Japanese, Arabic, German, French, Portuguese, or Italian.
