This is a steady, full-time role at Legal Monkeys, located on-site, offering the opportunity to build real skills without working nights or weekends. Legal Monkeys is a records collection company dedicated to supporting personal injury law firms by diligently acquiring medical records and bills on their behalf. This role is crucial for expediting legal cases, directly contributing to faster financial returns and an improved quality of life for the firms’ clients. What You’ll Actually Do
• Record Retrieval: Proactively engage with medical providers through phone calls, emails, and chat to effectively gather all required medical records and bills for law firms.
• Client & Provider Interaction: Serve as a primary point of contact, interacting daily with case managers and medical providers to facilitate record collection.
• Daily Task Management: Systematically work through a group of assigned records requests each day, ensuring a structured and organized approach to workflow.
• Authorization Compliance: Diligently ensure that all necessary special authorizations are accurately completed, enabling compliant retrieval of sensitive medical information.
• Progress Tracking & Problem Solving: Meticulously track the status of requests in our system and apply critical thinking to resolve any unexpected problems.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and are encouraged if seeking an early career opportunity.
• Experience: A comfort level with speaking on the phone regularly is essential, alongside a reliable work ethic and a strong willingness to learn new processes.
• Skills: Demonstrated good communication skills, proficiency in basic computer operations (entry-level computer work), and the ability to stay organized under a steady workload are required.
