The Tone:
This is a project intern position at TikTok, based in Los Angeles, CA. TikTok builds advertising solutions that help merchants and brands grow their business on TikTok Shop, including the automated GMV Max solution. This role is crucial for improving the GMV Max creative pillar, which helps advertisers manage and optimize the creatives used in their campaigns. The intern will gain hands-on experience with real advertising products, learning how product teams identify customer problems, define solutions, and measure impact within a global environment.

• Mission: Improve creative products for GMV Max to help advertisers source, manage, understand, and optimize campaign creatives.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Drive product improvements for GMV Max creative tools, covering management, AI-generation, insights, and testing.
• Analyze advertiser behavior, campaign performance, and creative-level data to identify user pain points and product opportunities.
• Translate advertiser needs and data insights into clear product requirements, user stories, and success metrics.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including Design, Engineering, Data Science, and Marketing to support product execution.
• Conduct user and competitive research to understand advertiser workflows for sourcing, managing, and optimizing creatives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related fields.
• Experience: Must commit to a 12-week full-time work period during Summer 2026, for at least 3 months.
• Skills: Strong logical thinking and data analysis; strong organizational, planning, communication, and execution; self-motivated and responsible to drive projects independently.
• Bonus: Prior internship or project experience in product management, ads, e-commerce, creator/creative tools, or data analysis; academic background in computer science or related fields with technical experience or project work.
