This role is crucial for supporting the daily trading activity of Charles Schwab Trust Bank’s (CSTB) institutional retirement clients, offering significant opportunities for growth and making a lasting impact within a growing business unit.

The TL;DR

• Team: The Specialized Trading Operations Team, supporting Charles Schwab Trust Bank’s (CSTB) institutional retirement clients.
• Mission: Responsible for monitoring and assisting in the successful execution of trades for retirement clients.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage: Oversee the ETF trading product as an initial core responsibility within the team.
• Execute: Monitor and assist in the successful execution of various trades, including mutual funds, equities, ETFs, alternative investments, and non-registered securities, for institutional retirement clients.
• Collaborate: Work across the team and with external clients, management, and business partners to support daily trading activities and special handling events.
• Enhance: Proactively review daily operational processes to determine and implement improvements, contributing to the efficiency and evolution of the business unit.
• Learn: Develop a comprehensive understanding of the retirement industry and equity markets, expanding into various functions across the Specialized Trading Operations team and engaging in impactful projects.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This is an entry-level position within the financial services industry, requiring a strong interest in how markets function.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to quickly learn, process information, and identify improvements in daily operational workflows. Proven capability to execute independent processes while effectively working within a team structure.
• Skills: Excellent communication skills for interacting with external clients, management, and business partners. Strong analytical skills for researching and resolving complex issues.
• Bonus: A Bachelor’s Degree and intermediate Excel proficiency are preferred qualifications that will contribute to immediate success in this role.
