Engineering Intern – Summer ’26 | Bugcrowd
The Tone:
This is a part-time internship at Bugcrowd, based in San Francisco, California. Bugcrowd empowers organizations to take back control from threat actors by uniting customers with an alliance of elite hackers through their patented data and AI-powered Security Knowledge Platform™. This role is designed for actively learning and applying team technologies to deliver code, focusing on execution within defined boundaries. You will apply academic knowledge in a real-world environment, collaborating with peers and mentors to assist in delivering features and bug fixes that improve and extend the system.
The TL;DR

• Type: Part-time (25 hours per week)
• Location: In-person, San Francisco, California, US
• Pay: $20–$25 hourly
• Mission: To actively learn and apply team technologies, assisting in delivering features and bug fixes that improve and extend the system for modern crowdsourced security.
• Tech Stack: Python 3.9, Django, DRF, Java, Kotlin, Javascript, Typescript, React framework, Git/Github, AWS or other cloud environments
What You’ll Actually Do
• Development: Assist with the development and maintenance of web applications using Python 3.9, Django, and DRF.
• Lifecycle Participation: Learn about and participate in the full software development lifecycle, actively embracing the tools, technologies, and patterns used by the team.
• Security Contribution: Contribute to improving the security aspects of applications by assisting with code reviews and secure coding practices.
• Test Automation: Assist in the development of automated tests to ensure application reliability and security.
• Documentation & Integration: Contribute to technical documentation such as design docs, API documentation, and release notes, while assisting with integrations with 3rd party services like Google, AWS, and ServiceNow.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Current student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, ideally entering senior year.
• Experience: Hands-on experience in at least one of these computer languages: Java, Kotlin, Javascript, Typescript, or Python.
• Skills: Eagerness to learn, a can-do attitude, and foundational understanding of software development principles.
• Bonus: Experience with React framework, Git/Github, or AWS/cloud environments.
