Management & Program Analyst | U.S. Customs and Border Protection
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at U.S. Customs and Border Protection, located in Washington, DC. CBP is the sole organization responsible for securing America’s borders, dedicated to preventing terrorism, enforcing trade and travel, and safeguarding national interests through a wide range of operations. In this critical position, you will serve as a senior analyst or advisor to management, applying a broad spectrum of qualitative and quantitative methods to assess and improve complex management and program processes and systems that are vital to CBP’s overarching mission.

• Mission: Assess complex management and program processes and systems to support the mission of CBP, particularly within logistics and property management.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Program Oversight: Assist in implementing, coordinating, or overseeing a major segment of a CBP-wide mission or administrative program, specifically within the Logistics and Property Management Branch.
• Strategic Advisement: Serve as a senior analyst or advisor to management on major mission or administrative programs, applying a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods to assess complex processes and systems.
• Management Support: Provide technical assistance and support services to management concerning the application of planning systems and management programs to meet mission requirements, with an emphasis on property management.
• Administrative & Reporting: Offer technical and administrative assistance to headquarters and field personnel, including inventory and record management in accordance with directives and the preparation of various reports.
• Customer Experience: Deliver excellent customer service by identifying issues, deficiencies, user capabilities, and requirements.
The Must-Haves
• Background: This role requires an individual to function as a senior analyst or advisor to management, specializing in major mission or administrative programs within a large federal agency. Core domain knowledge should include management and program analysis, with an emphasis on logistics and property management, to support complex operational requirements.
• Experience: Possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level, which includes managing a major segment of a department-wide mission or administrative program, providing technical assistance related to planning systems, developing electronic files and reports, and delivering written and oral reports with conclusions and recommendations to leadership.
