What You’ll Actually Do
• Ensure Positive Customer Experience: Make eye contact, smile, and greet all customers in a courteous and friendly manner throughout the store, providing prompt and efficient responses, assisting with merchandise, and answering questions politely and knowledgeably.
• Maintain Store Presentation & Cleanliness: Perform daily assigned sizing and recovery per company best practice to ensure a neat, clean, and organized store, including maintaining proper merchandise presentation standards and regularly conducting cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting high-touch areas.
• Efficiently Process & Merchandise Stock: Expedite newly received merchandise receipts to the sales floor with a strong sense of urgency, merchandising all items per company best practice, adhering to monthly presentation guidelines, and maintaining familiarity with merchandise and brand names to assist customers.
• Uphold Safety & Loss Prevention Standards: Understand and practice safe behaviors as the number one priority, maintain a high level of awareness on the sales floor to create a secure shopping environment, and follow all Loss Prevention Awareness program guidelines, merchandise protection standards, and cash handling procedures.
• Adhere to Company Policies & Procedures: Consistently follow all policies and procedures concerning cash, check, charge card, and refund transactions, voids, and offline procedures, and efficiently execute all store best practices to maximize productivity and minimize steps and touches in the workflow.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level retail associate focused on early morning stock duties and comprehensive store preparation.
• Experience: No specific years required; prior experience in a customer-facing retail role, merchandise handling, or stock responsibilities is beneficial.
• Skills:
• Effective communication with customers, associates, and store leadership in a friendly, respectful, cooperative, and pleasant manner.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• High level of awareness for safety and security, immediately correcting or reporting unsafe conditions or practices.
• Ability to use all store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PCs.
• Bonus: Ability to regularly push, pull, and lift more than 20 pounds, particularly for tasks assigned during stockroom shifts.
