Cyber Junior Analyst | MGM Resorts International

What You’ll Actually Do
• Monitor: Monitor security alerts and events from various tools and assist in initial triage to determine validity and severity.
• Understand: Develop and maintain a foundational understanding of the organization’s security tools, network architecture, and threat landscape.
• Investigate: Investigate suspicious activity by gathering and analyzing relevant data, escalating confirmed or high-risk incidents to senior analysts.
• Follow: Follow runbooks and standard operating procedures to support incident detection, analysis, containment, and reporting.
• Document: Document incidents, analysis findings, and response actions clearly and accurately within case management systems.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, IT support, network operations, or a related technical field, preparing for an entry-level role in cybersecurity.
• Experience: 1+ years of prior relevant experience in Cybersecurity, IT support, network operations, or a related technical field.
• Skills: Security monitoring and alert triage, data analysis for suspicious activity, adherence to security runbooks and procedures, incident documentation, understanding of network architecture and threat landscapes.
• Bonus: Industry Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, A+, Network +.
