The Tone:
This is an entry-level Legal Project Analyst role at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP, operating on a hybrid work schedule. Manatt is a multidisciplinary, integrated national professional services firm providing legal services, advocacy, and business strategy. This position offers a unique opportunity for recent college graduates to gain hands-on legal and project management experience. The role provides meaningful exposure to the legal process, contributing to high-impact client work while developing foundational legal and project management skills.

• Mission: Support diverse litigation and corporate matters by preparing documents, conducting research, managing filings, and coordinating key activities for clients.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AI agents (for creation)
What You’ll Actually Do
• Coordinate: Manage logistics for client requests, team meetings, depositions, and closings.
• Prepare: Assist attorneys in drafting pleadings, corporate documents, entity formations, and contracts.
• Research: Conduct statistical, factual, and legal research, then compile and analyze the findings.
• Organize: Prepare, track, and maintain witness materials, document productions, closing documents, signature pages, case files, document databases, and data rooms.
• Process: Prepare audit letters for distribution and conduct UCC searches, including filing UCC-related documents.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited four-year college, with a strong academic record, and a demonstrated interest in law. This is an entry-level position for recent college graduates.
• Experience: Willingness to commit to the role for approximately two years, proven ability to manage multiple priorities, and effectiveness working under pressure in a team environment.
• Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and proficiency in creating AI agents with excitement to integrate AI in a professional environment.
• Bonus: Ability to work overtime as needed, including evenings and weekends, and demonstrated reliability working both independently and collaboratively within a hybrid team environment.
