The Tone:
This is a full-time role at UC Riverside’s Campus Business Services, located in Riverside, CA. Campus Business Services provides essential operational support for the university community. This Mail Processor role is critical for ensuring the efficient flow of both incoming and outgoing mail across a large campus, managing vital postal compliance, and accurately accounting for mail services.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Process Incoming Mail: Handle the processing of incoming flat and non-standard mail, accurately breaking it down for distribution across campus departments.
• Deliver Outgoing Mail: Execute the delivery of outgoing mail according to established schedules and service requirements.
• Manage Mail Accounting & Billing: Perform departmental accounting for all outgoing mail processes using the MOS system, segregating charges to individual accounts, and manage recharge billing and customer estimates.
• Ensure Postal Compliance: Reconcile postage meters as needed to meet USPS regulations and process Second and Third class mail in adherence to USPS requirements.
• Provide Backup Support: Act as a backup for SCOTMAIL communications distributions and maintain the subscriber database for all paper distribution lists.

• Background: This role requires a professional capable of managing detailed mail processing operations, adhering to strict postal regulations, and performing precise financial record-keeping for a university campus.
• Experience: Candidates must possess practical experience in processing various classes of mail, performing accounting functions related to mail services, and utilizing systems for charge segregation and billing.
• Skills: Demonstrated ability to process mail efficiently, perform accurate departmental accounting, reconcile postage meters in compliance with USPS, and operate the MOS system.
• Work Authorization: Applicants must have current work authorization and UC Riverside is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
