What You’ll Actually Do
• Test: Conduct daily laser safety tests using approved Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) checklists.
• Record: Maintain accurate testing logs and comprehensive compliance records.
• Monitor: Oversee hardware systems to ensure their safe and compliant operation.
• Escalate: Identify and promptly escalate any observed safety risks or equipment issues.
• Enforce: Implement and uphold strict safety and no-phone policies, supporting overall adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and EH&S standards.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Graduate, with an openness for candidates from non-engineering/science backgrounds, demonstrating foundational knowledge or interest in safety, lab, or technical operations.
• Experience: A career level from fresher up to 2 years of experience is required, specifically within safety, laboratory, or technical operations settings.
• Skills: Essential skills include meticulous safety compliance and thorough documentation practices; strong communication and effective escalation skills for critical issues; and the proven ability to operate effectively within high-security environments.
• Bonus: Preferred qualifications include familiarity with general workplace safety standards, with a strong preference for OSHA guidelines. This role also requires the ability to work rotational or overlapping shifts, comfort in controlled, no-phone work zones, and a steadfast commitment to strict confidentiality and all safety protocols.
