Intern – System Test | Magna International

The Tone:
This is a Student / Co-Op internship at Magna International. The company builds industry-leading automotive technologies and world-class electronic systems for the global automotive industry, focusing on solutions that are smarter, cleaner, safer, and lighter. This role is crucial in helping to organize and track system test activities, ensuring timely and accurate execution of testing processes. The intern’s contributions support the overall quality assurance planning and strategic test operations for developing advanced mobility solutions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Documentation & Reporting: Create and organize comprehensive test documentation, including detailed meeting notes, defect logs for identified issues, and regular status reports to keep stakeholders informed of progress.
• Data Analysis: Collect and meticulously analyze various test metrics to identify recurring trends, pinpoint areas requiring improvement, and inform strategic decisions for testing efficiencies.
• Process Optimization: Actively contribute ideas and insights for streamlining and optimizing existing workflows, while also learning and applying best practices in test management tools and methodologies.
• Test Coordination: Assist in the meticulous maintenance of test plans, overarching schedules, and performance dashboards, thereby supporting effective coordination between the development and quality assurance teams.
• Strategic Support: Document critical test processes and analyze results to ensure continuous improvement in quality assurance planning, contributing to the strategic test operations of electronic systems.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student, currently attending a college or university, with a High School Diploma.
• Experience: Seeking students interested in gaining practical experience in quality assurance planning and strategic test operations.
• Skills: Proficient computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and professional communication skills (written and verbal).
• Bonus: Some knowledge of automation for data extraction and management.
