SAP iXp Intern – Full-Stack Software Engineer | SAP

• Team: The Research & Innovation team in Silicon Valley works in an agile, cross-functional way to explore and prototype emerging technologies.
• Mission: Explore and prototype emerging technologies, particularly in enterprise AI and developer productivity, to establish foundational advancements for SAP and its customers.
• Tech Stack: Python, Java, HTML/CSS/JS

What You’ll Actually Do
• Implement: Create cutting-edge AI innovations using the latest frontier models, terminal agents, and AI harnesses.
• Develop: Build new AI prototypes and conduct research through collaborations with Stanford and Silicon Valley AI startups.
• Refine: Work on fine-tuning models, continued pre-training, reinforcement learning, and developing benchmarks.
• Contribute: Gain hands-on experience by contributing to real engineering and AI initiatives to explore future enterprise technology.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled (at least one semester completed) or recently graduated (within 6 months of start date) from a coding academy/bootcamp, apprenticeship, associate, bachelor’s, master’s, or JD/PhD program in a related field.
• Experience: Strong familiarity with agentic engineering, terminal agents, and coding harnesses, plus experience developing applications with HTML/CSS/JS.
• Skills: Strong programming skills in one language, preferably Python or Java, and effective communication skills to articulate technical challenges and solutions.
• Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with multiple teams across different geographies.
