The Tone:

The intern will play a key part in the preparation of credit reviews, processing technical consents, and ongoing credit monitoring, directly contributing to the effective management and comprehensive reporting of the project finance portfolio. This position is vital for maintaining the integrity and oversight of the bank’s structured finance commitments.

• Mission: Assist the Project Finance Portfolio Management team with credit reviews, transaction processing, and portfolio monitoring and reporting.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Credit Review & Analysis: Assist in the preparation of annual credit reviews, encompassing thorough financial analysis and rating proposals, and contribute to quarterly watch-list and provision reviews presented in local and global meetings.
• Transaction & Approval Management: Process technical consents for various transactions, ensuring all required internal credit approvals are meticulously obtained, and foster close collaboration with internal departments such as the Front Office, Back Office, and Risk teams.
• Portfolio Monitoring & Reporting: Handle diverse aspects of credit monitoring and comprehensive reporting, including assistance in preparing monthly and quarterly reports focused on data quality and overall credit health, as well as responding to global management inquiries on the portfolio.
• Compliance & Audit Support: Accurately record covenants within the internal tracking system, actively resolve past due obligations, and provide essential assistance during internal and external audits and regulatory examinations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A graduate holding a Bachelor’s degree from a Business or Engineering School or University, with a specialization in Finance, and a preferred GPA greater than 3.65.
• Experience: No explicit years of experience required.
• Skills: Proficient command of MS Office, fluency in English, good communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work effectively in a deadline-focused environment.
• Bonus: Previous experience in Structured Finance or Banking, and some exposure to credit agreements would be beneficial.
