Inventory Analyst | RH

• Team: Supports planning managers and planners.
• Mission: To assist the merchandise planning team in ensuring smooth and efficient product delivery through precise data entry, reporting, and cross-functional communication.
• Tech Stack: Mainframe system, Excel (Pivot Tables, Vlookups)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reporting & Data Management: Assist planning managers with daily reports and independently manage all data entry into the mainframe system, including maintaining purchase order corrections and revisions.
• Purchase Order & Vendor Coordination: Key in and manage purchase orders, maintaining daily communication with vendors to confirm, track, and revise orders to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Backorder Analysis & Prioritization: Compile and communicate weekly lists and comprehensive analyses of accrued departmental backorders, informing sourcing and operations teams of sku/collection priorities on a bi-weekly basis.
• Product Transfer Oversight: Prepare weekly product transfer lists for the allocations and operations team, diligently following up to ensure the transfers are successfully executed.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a key partner in cross-functional meetings, helping to ensure that all data is aligned with strategic initiatives and deadlines to facilitate smooth product delivery.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience is required for this entry-level position, which offers a foundational career path in merchandise planning.
• Experience: While this is an entry-level role, practical experience with data entry, administrative support, or managing detailed records is beneficial. Prior exposure to purchase order processing or vendor communication is a distinct advantage.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to utilize Pivot Tables and Vlookups, is necessary. The role also requires excellent written and verbal communication, strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks, a keen sense of detail to prevent misses and oversights, and the capability to consistently meet deadlines.
• Bonus: A quick learning aptitude, a proactive ability to follow up and follow through on tasks, and a strong team-oriented attitude are highly valued traits for success in this role.
