This role is crucial as the Claims Analysis Intern will support the review and organization of health insurance claims and related documentation, working closely with the internal team to reduce healthcare costs for clients.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Claim Intake: Intake new health insurance claims and related documentation, ensuring all initial information is accurately recorded.
• Data Management: Acquire, review, and organize additional data required for comprehensive claim analysis, supporting the complete picture of a claim.
• Detailed Analysis: Analyze health insurance claims thoroughly using established claim analysis templates and internal tools to identify discrepancies and cost-saving opportunities.
• Process Contribution: Identify missing or incomplete claim information, assist in follow-up efforts, and contribute to improving the overall claims intake and analysis process.
• Team Support: Collaborate closely with team members to support efficient and accurate claim review, directly contributing to reducing healthcare costs for clients.

• Background: Student or early-career candidate interested in healthcare, insurance, or data analysis.
• Experience: No specific prior professional experience required for this internship role.
• Skills: Meticulous attention to detail in reviewing documentation and data; strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple claims efficiently; analytical abilities and problem-solving skills for claim discrepancy identification; effective interpersonal and communication skills for team collaboration and follow-up; aptitude for working with computer systems and learning new software and procedures.
• Bonus: Coursework or background in biology, health sciences, or medical-related fields; basic understanding of health insurance or medical claims; experience with and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
