The Tone:
This is an Entry Level Analyst position, located in Andover, MA, at a well-known Financial Services company, placed by Phyton Talent Advisors. Our client is a prominent player in the financial services industry, focused on delivering robust solutions. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity and compliance of tax documentation and due diligence processes, directly supporting the company’s commitment to regulatory adherence and client trust. The individual in this position will play a key role in ensuring accurate tax reporting and mitigating audit exposure within a critical operational framework.

What You’ll Actually Do
Tax Document Review: Coordinate and meticulously review tax documents (IRS Forms W-8 and W-9, and CRS self-certifications) to ensure their completeness and accuracy, aligning with operational standards and regulatory requirements.
Due Diligence Leadership: Lead crucial due diligence processes for account onboarding, form solicitations, and remediation efforts, ensuring robust compliance throughout the lifecycle.
Client Account Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, managing day-to-day review processes and professionally handling urgent escalations.
Tax Compliance & Expertise: Handle tax compliance and remediation requests in accordance with IRS regulations and internal protocols, while also providing subject matter expertise on tax statutes, guidance, and industry best practices.
Payment & Reporting Support: Assist with withholding rate calculations, verify tax treaty benefits before distributions and payment events, and monitor relevant legislative and regulatory developments affecting reporting requirements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree required; an early career professional interested in financial services tax and compliance.
• Experience: 1-3 years of experience preferred, including customer service or financial data operations; tax internships or related experience are highly desirable.
• Skills: Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, strong commercial awareness with a client service ethos.
• Bonus: Familiarity with bank compliance and risk management.
