What You’ll Actually Do
• Campaign Finance Reporting: Prepare and review campaign finance reports, ensuring accuracy for California and federal regulations.
• Client Account Management: Oversee assigned client accounts, guaranteeing adherence to all reporting obligations and deadlines.
• Financial Activity Analysis: Track, reconcile, and analyze financial activities, including contributions and expenditures, for various entities.
• Compliance Schedule Management: Manage compliance calendars and reporting schedules for multiple client entities.
• Record Review: Review financial records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree required, with a preference for finance, accounting, economics, political science, or related fields. Entry-level candidates with relevant experience or demonstrated interest are welcome.
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in compliance, accounting, finance, or government, or relevant transferable skills. Experience with financial tracking or bookkeeping principles is beneficial.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data organization); Strong comfort with financial data and reconciliation; Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy; Excellent organizational and time management skills; Professional written and verbal communication.
• Bonus: Familiarity with campaign finance reporting systems (NetFile, ISPolitical, NGP); Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies; Keen interest in political law, elections, and regulatory compliance.
