AI Enablement Intern | SupplyHouse

The Tone:
This is a 10-week Co-Op Internship at SupplyHouse, a remote industry-leading e-commerce company specializing in HVAC, plumbing, heating, and electrical supplies. The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Co-Op Intern (June 15th – August 21st, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET)
• Location: Remote
• Pay: $27.60 hourly
• Team: Works with various departments (Customer Service, Operations, Merchandising, Marketing, Product) and receives mentorship from Product and cross-functional partners.
• Mission: To identify, test, and prototype practical ways to apply AI to real business problems across the organization.
• Tech Stack: Python, SQL, JavaScript, Zapier, Make, Apps Script

What You’ll Actually Do
• Discover: Learn how different business teams operate and identify high-impact opportunities where AI can provide assistance.
• Define: Partner with stakeholders to clearly articulate problems, map existing workflows, and estimate potential value and effort for AI solutions.
• Prototype: Build and test small prototypes or proofs of concept, such as prompt workflows, chat-based assistants, or automation scripts.
• Document: Create clear documentation and playbooks, including prompt guides, best practices, and example workflows, to enable reuse of developed solutions.
• Enable: Help run simple enablement activities like demonstrations, office hours, and training sessions, while also collecting feedback from users.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree as a rising Junior or Senior (graduating in 2027 or 2028), pursuing a Master’s degree, or an upcoming graduate (May 2026).
• Experience: Demonstrates an interest in AI and curiosity about applying it to improve real workflows, coupled with comfort learning new tools quickly and experimenting in a structured way.
• Skills: Possesses strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts in plain language, is organized and self-directed with attention to detail, and has an analytical mindset to break down problems and propose practical solutions.
• Bonus: Prior hands-on experience leveraging AI through an internship, co-op, research project, or academic lab; experience with Python, SQL, JavaScript, or automation tools; familiarity with LLMs and prompt design; experience building lightweight prototypes; interest in product thinking, process improvement, and change management.
