Quantitative Trading Intern – Summer 2027 Internship | GTS

The Tone:
This is a Summer 2027 internship at GTS, located in New York, NY with a hybrid work policy. GTS is a collection of financial services companies powered by market expertise and proprietary technology, operating as a quantitative trading firm that leverages artificial intelligence and sophisticated pricing models. In this role, interns will be integral to the ETF trading group, working on building analytics tools, analyzing data, and designing quantitative models. Their contributions will directly impact the group’s activities, drive revenue, and provide preparation for future graduate positions in quant trading.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Support: Work on quantitative projects to support production trading strategies.
• Tool Development: Build analytics tools that assist traders in making real-time trading decisions.
• Data Analysis: Analyze historical trade data to derive insights and inform trading strategies.
• Model Design: Design and test quantitative models for new strategy development.
• Implementation: Implement the results of research and analysis by working closely with traders.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student (class of 2027 or 2028) pursuing a B.S. or M.S. from a leading university in a quantitative discipline such as math, physics, statistics, computer science, engineering, or economics, with a GPA over 3.6/4.0.
• Experience: Deep understanding and ability in mathematics and statistics; demonstrated interest in strategic and competitive games.
• Skills: Strong programming in Python; exceptional problem-solving abilities; excellent communication to express complex concepts simply; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Bonus: Interest in building an understanding of trading.
