Research Associate | CHEManager International

The Tone:
This is an in-person Research Associate position at CHEManager International, a global leader in life sciences and diagnostics reagents and solutions. This vital role focuses on the execution of a diverse range of technical laboratory procedures, handling sensitive equipment and reagents with precision. • Mission: To generate reliable data and materials for antibody development through precise laboratory procedures and careful handling of sensitive equipment and reagents.
• Tech Stack: Cell culture, molecular biology, bacterial culture, phage culture, phage display affinity selections, small-scale protein production and purification, ELISA screening, live-cell flow cytometry.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Perform comprehensive laboratory work: Execute a variety of routine laboratory procedures, including cell culture, molecular biology techniques, bacterial and phage culture, phage display affinity selections, small-scale protein production and purification, ELISA screening, and live-cell flow cytometry.
• Maintain and prepare lab resources: Systematically maintain laboratory equipment, actively assist in the ordering and management of laboratory supplies, and meticulously prepare buffer stocks and reagents according to established protocols.
• Analyze data and generate reports: Analyze retrieved experimental data from discovery projects, meticulously prepare detailed reports on findings, and ensure proper organization and maintenance of cold-storage inventories.
• Support team and procedure development: Provide crucial support for other laboratory members, contributing to a collaborative environment, and assist in the development of new techniques and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) under the direct supervision of laboratory management.
• Ensure accuracy and reliability: Consistently carry out routine laboratory tasks with high accuracy and reliability, strictly adhering to established laboratory procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisory team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a closely related scientific field, including relevant laboratory coursework. This is an entry-level professional role.
• Experience: No specific years required; candidates should possess foundational laboratory experience that demonstrates an ability to perform technical procedures.
• Skills: Demonstrated ability to maintain stringent quality, safety, and contamination control standards within a laboratory setting; strong attention to detail for precise execution of experiments and meticulous record-keeping; proven mathematical aptitude for accurate laboratory calculations, particularly algebra; excellent written and oral communication skills for clear reporting and effective team collaboration; and the capacity to work both autonomously and effectively within a team structure, consistently learning and performing all essential functions.
• Bonus: Prior internship experience or entry-level work experience in laboratory environments, particularly within discovery biology, is considered advantageous.
