The Tone:
This is a full-time, entry-level role at Recology, located in Oregon City, Oregon, with a consistent shift from Tuesday to Saturday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM. • Mission: Direct incoming and outgoing tipping area traffic in a safe and efficient manner according to established policies and procedures.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Traffic Direction & Separation: Expertly direct the flow of both incoming and outgoing vehicles within the tipping area, ensuring distinct separation between public and commercial traffic to enhance safety and prevent congestion.
• Vehicle & Area Management: Guide all vehicles to park at appropriate, safe distances from other vehicles, and meticulously maintain a dedicated tipping area specifically for end-dump trash trucks, optimizing operational layout.
• Site Safety & Maintenance: Proactively keep the entire tipping table surface clear of large debris to ensure continuous, safe operation, and promptly identify and report any hazardous materials to the Supervisor for correct documentation and disposal.
• Compliance & Customer Service: Vigilantly monitor the tipping table for any scavenging activities, reporting all instances to immediate supervision, while also effectively engaging with customers to answer questions or direct them to the appropriate personnel.

• Background: Entry level position requiring no prior specific domain knowledge.
• Experience: No specific years of experience required.
• Skills: Traffic direction and control, identification and reporting of hazardous materials, customer communication and inquiry redirection.
• Bonus: High school diploma or GED.
