Retail Media and Marketing Intern | Pentaleap
The Tone:
This is an internship role at Pentaleap, located remotely in the US. Pentaleap builds technology and services for the retail media sector, a rapidly expanding segment of digital advertising, and has been recognized for its innovation in the field. This role offers hands-on experience by supporting campaign operations and data analysis, providing direct contributions that influence how major retailers approach sponsored and organic product placement. • Mission: Support campaign operations, data analysis, and go-to-market activities across Pentaleap’s retail media initiatives.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Campaign Support: Support the planning and execution of media campaigns and outreach efforts.
• Data Analysis: Track, consolidate, and analyze campaign performance data, identifying key insights and anomalies.
• Client Reporting: Assist in preparing client-facing reports, decks, and performance summaries.
• Market Research: Research retail media trends, competitor activity, and emerging ad formats to inform Pentaleap’s strategic positioning.
• Content Contribution: Contribute to content and collateral that communicates Pentaleap’s value proposition to various audiences.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in an accredited US college or university program (any year) with valid US work authorization, demonstrating interest or coursework in marketing, advertising, ecommerce, business, or data analytics.
• Experience: No prior experience required; open to students at any stage.
• Skills: Comfortable working with data, able to organize, interpret, and present findings clearly using spreadsheet tools like Excel or Google Sheets; self-directed and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Bonus: Familiarity with retail media platforms (e.g., Sponsored Products on Amazon, Walmart Connect, Criteo), exposure to performance marketing concepts (e.g., ROAS, CPC, CPM, incrementality, attribution), or prior internship, class project, or personal experience in digital marketing or ecommerce.
