Project Coordinator (Internship Role) | ATC

The Tone:
This is an internship opportunity at ATC, structured as an internship-to-hire role with significant long-term potential for growth. This position is distinctly business-focused, requiring strategic thinking, effective project coordination, and meticulous resource optimization. A core aspect of the role involves transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights to guide leadership decision-making. You will be instrumental in mapping organizational resources, including personnel, skills, capacity, and budgets, while actively supporting project tracking and optimizing critical allocation decisions.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Temporary (1 to 6 months duration)
• Team: Talent & Resources, working closely with and reporting to the Head of Talent & Resources.
• Mission: Strategically map, analyze, and optimize organizational resources to support project tracking and inform leadership allocation decisions with data-driven insights.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau or Power BI, Claude (training can be provided for AI tools).

What You’ll Actually Do
• Resource Planning & Forecasting: Collaborate with the Head of Talent & Resources to inventory, analyze, and forecast resource capacity and allocation needs, while participating in cross-functional discussions to ensure effective resource alignment.
• Data Visualization & Reporting: Develop and maintain clear, visual dashboards and comprehensive reports to visualize utilization, capacity, project pipelines, and bottlenecks, also preparing business-focused presentations and documentation for leadership.
• Project & Portfolio Management: Track all active and upcoming projects and support robust project portfolio oversight, providing data-driven recommendations for resource allocation adjustments aligned with business priorities.
• Process Improvement & Strategic Insights: Identify inefficiencies in current processes and suggest data-driven improvements, building a strong understanding of organizational operations while contributing meaningful insights.

The Must-Haves
• Background: An MBA (completed or currently in progress) or demonstrably equivalent experience within a business, operations, or a closely related analytical field. This role is suitable for recent MBA graduates with relevant internships or project experience.
• Experience: A minimum of 1+ year of professional experience in roles such as resource planning, project coordination, business analysis, or other similar analytical and operational capacities.
• Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a keen attention to business impact; outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities; strong organizational capability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; proven experience with dashboarding and visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI; and the ability to effectively translate raw data into clear, actionable business insights rather than technical development.
