This is a full-time field role at EchoStar Corporation. EchoStar is actively reimagining the future of connectivity, with a broad business reach encompassing satellite television, live-streaming, on-demand programming, smart home installation services, and mobile plans and products under brands like Boost Mobile, DISH TV, Gen Mobile, Hughes, and Sling TV. As a Field Technician, you are the backbone of this organization, directly responsible for delivering TV and Smart Home solutions to millions of customers. You will be trained to provide a world-class customer experience, educating and connecting more Americans with essential services in every home you visit, contributing to the company’s award-winning customer satisfaction.

The TL;DR

• Location: In-person, Field-based (requires travel to customer homes)
• Pay: $19.75 hourly
• Team: Part of a dedicated team, with primary responsibilities carried out independently in the field.
• Mission: To deliver, install, and service EchoStar’s TV and Smart Home solutions, ensuring a world-class customer experience and expanding connectivity for Americans.
• Tech Stack: DISH satellite equipment, various smart home products and related technology.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Equipment Installation & Service: Expertly install and service DISH satellite television equipment and a range of smart home products directly within customer homes.
• Customer Education & Upskilling: Teach customers how to effectively use their newly installed technology and proactively introduce them to additional services or products that might enhance their experience.
• Professional Field Operations: Maintain a professional demeanor and a clean, organized work area at every customer location, working autonomously while consistently staying connected with your assigned team for support and coordination.
• On-Site Problem Resolution: Address and resolve technical or operational challenges encountered during installations and service calls, ensuring customer satisfaction and proper system functionality.
• Smart Home Integration: Actively introduce customers to the benefits and features of smart home technology, guiding them through its potential to simplify and enhance their daily lives.

• Background: This opportunity is suitable for individuals who are customer-focused, determined, and adaptable, as no specific formal education background is mandated. All necessary smart home technology knowledge and installation best practices will be provided through comprehensive paid training.
• Experience: Candidates should possess an aptitude for independent work in field environments and a proven ability to solve problems effectively on the spot. While no explicit prior experience years are required, a history of customer interaction is beneficial.
• Skills:
• Valid Driver’s License: Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, essential for operating a company-provided vehicle.
• Schedule Flexibility: Demonstrate willingness and ability to work flexible shifts, which may include evenings, weekends, or holidays, based on business needs.
• Customer Focus: Exhibit a strong commitment to building trust and consistently delivering an excellent customer experience.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Possess the capability to quickly analyze and tackle a variety of technical and logistical challenges that may arise during field visits.
