Designer | Design Resource Center

The Tone:
This is an Entry-Level Designer role at Design Resource Center. The company specializes in creating compelling packaging solutions that are strategically aligned with marketing objectives and consumer insights. This role is vital to the creative team, as it supports the entire design process from initial ideation through to final production. The Designer contributes to the development and execution of packaging design systems, brand extensions, and critical visual assets, all while ensuring client objectives are met and the agency’s high creative standards are maintained. It requires curiosity, attention to detail, and a desire to grow within a collaborative packaging design environment.

The TL;DR

• Team: Reports to Creative Director / Design Director / Senior Designer, works closely with Senior Designers, Design Directors, Creative Directors, Account Services, and Production Lead.
• Mission: Supports the creative team in developing compelling packaging solutions aligned with strategic marketing objectives and consumer insights.
• Tech Stack: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Keynote, MS Office

What You’ll Actually Do
• Translate strategic marketing briefs into thoughtful design solutions under the direction of senior creative staff.
• Support the development of packaging concepts, visual systems, and brand extensions.
• Prepare presentation materials for internal reviews and client meetings, refining concepts based on feedback.
• Collaborate with the Production Lead to prepare accurate, press-ready files.
• Maintain consistency and integrity of brand guidelines across all deliverables.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field, demonstrating strong conceptual thinking and solid design fundamentals through a portfolio.
• Experience: 0–2 years of experience in a creative studio, packaging firm, or relevant internship experience.
• Skills: Strong foundational design skills encompassing typography, layout, color, and composition; clear verbal and written communication skills; strong attention to detail and organizational ability; ability to receive direction and apply feedback constructively; team-oriented with a positive, proactive attitude; ability to manage multiple assignments in a deadline-driven environment.
• Bonus: Understanding of packaging production and pre-press requirements.
