Sales Enablement & Competitive Intelligence Intern | Smartly

The Tone:
This is an internship at Smartly, located in New York, NY (hybrid). Smartly is an AI-powered advertising technology company that transforms ad experiences for brands and their consumers, building a comprehensive platform integrating media, creative, and intelligence. As a global company with over 750 employees across 13 countries, Smartly manages creative and media for 700+ brands worldwide. This role supports the Sales Team by providing essential research, analysis, and strategic tools to help sellers win deals, contributing directly to the company’s growth in the digital advertising industry.

• Mission: To support Smartly’s Sales Team by providing hands-on experience in market research, sales strategy, enablement, and competitive analysis.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Competitor Analysis: Research and analyze competitor offerings across the media and creative landscape.
• Market Intelligence: Track and analyze industry trends and competitor activity.
• Sales Strategy: Help build battlecards to equip sellers with stronger positioning strategies.
• Sales Enablement: Audit, clean up, and improve email sequences, and create new email templates for sellers.
• Resource Optimization: Streamline content management systems and processes to ensure sellers have quick access to high-impact, up-to-date resources.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Full-time rising Junior, Senior, or graduating at an accredited 4-year College or University, with a high interest and curiosity in the advertising industry and its competitive landscape.
• Experience: Current interest in B2B sales, marketing, or adtech, offering an opportunity for hands-on experience in market research, sales strategy, enablement, and competitive analysis.
• Skills: Excellent research and analytical skills; an eye for design and strong project management skills; effective communication and storytelling abilities; an ambitious self-starter with a can-do attitude.
