The Tone:
This is an unpaid internship and training opportunity at Matthews™, the fastest-growing commercial real estate company in the country. Participants will learn the intricate commercial real estate sales process by employing the company’s cutting-edge innovations and technology platforms. Designed for education and learning, this program provides a foundational understanding of the industry within an energetic and collaborative setting. Interns will directly learn alongside a Market Leader and Senior Sales Associate, making this an essential experience for aspiring real estate professionals.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Marketing Optimization: Learn to optimize marketing strategies, specifically focusing on increasing the total number of customers and driving profitable revenue from existing client relationships.
• Sales & Marketing Observation: Observe and actively learn various sales and marketing activities, including direct and channel selling, telemarketing, effective lead generation, participation in trade organizations, and cold calling techniques to acquire and maintain business.
• Revenue & Quota Understanding: Acquire a basic understanding of core revenue responsibilities, including the crucial task of reaching established sales quotas within a commercial real estate context.
• Strategic Account Development: Develop essential skills to identify, qualify, develop, and execute strategic plans within target accounts, as well as facilitate the introduction of new products and services.
• Market Relationship Building: Acquire the necessary skills to effectively identify and establish meaningful relationships within critical market segments, crucial for long-term business development.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field, with an anticipated graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027.
• Experience: No prior professional experience is required, as this program is designed as an unpaid training and educational opportunity for students.
